To follow the general orientation of the Buzzi Unicem group, Cimalux strives to operate the cement production in a way of sustainability of by using highly productive and environment friendly production facilities. .

Both plants of Cimalux - the clinker plant in Rumelange and the cement grinding plant in Esch - run an ISO 14001 certified Environmental Management System.

A sustainable cement includes beside an active protection of the Environment also the protection of the natural resources. Cimalux is willing to increase the use of secondary raw materials and fuels in order to save natural raw materials and fossil fuels.
