Dolomite gravels / sand

In the near German boarder region, dolomite is transformed to aggregates for concrete in different plants. Cimalux distributes this material from 4 plants.

TKDZ

In Wellen, located on the opposite german side of the Moselle from Grevenmacher, TKDZ is operating a treatement plant for dolomitic stones, which are extracted by underground mining.

The dry dolomite is broken down in crushers and the fines are removed by wind separators.

Delivered grain sizes are Dolomite sand 0/4 and Dolomite gravels 4/8, 8/16, and 8/22. Sand for landfill 0/3 mm and Dolomite meal are also in the delivery programm.

Hippert

The dolomite exploited by the Company Hippert in a open air quarry located near the road B 419 is refined in a modern plant to high quality dolomite gravels and sands.

Delivered grain sizes are washed and unwashed Dolomite gravels 4/8, 8/16, and 8/22.

Natursteinwerk Mesenich

The Natursteinwerk Mesenich, located on the german side opposite to Wasserbillig, refines also dolomitic stones to gravels for concrete and asphalt layers.

Delivered grain sizes are Dolomite gravels 4/8, 8/16, and 8/22.

Reichle Dolomitsteinwerk

In a Stone plant located in Wallersheim in the vicinity of Prüm, the firm Reichle Dolomitsteine refines Dolomitic material to gravels for concrete and asphalt layers.

Delivered grain sizes are Dolomite gravels 4/8, 8/16, und 8/22.
