Cimalux produces in its plant in Esch a well selected range of cements: Portland, Portland Blast Furnace Slag and Blast Furnace Slag cements. The latter are produced on the basis of blast furnace slag, a raw material, which depending on its dosage, adds a special kind of quality to the cement. All the cement varieties produced in Esch comply with the European cement Standard EN 197-1 and have the CE-conformity mark. Many brands of cement are also in accordance with voluntary national Quality Regulations like NF and BENOR or comply with the standards for special cements according to DIN or BENOR: cement with a high sulphate resistance and a low heat of hydration.
