To achieve this aim, Cimalux established a quality management system in all the sectors of the production of clinker and cement, as well as in the distribution and the selling of cement. This system overtops the standards set up by the European Cement Standard EN 197-2 Evaluation of Conformity , a standard actually very close to the Quality Standard ISO 9000.
As the cements produced in the plant in Esch are checked by many foreign control organisms (VDZ in Germany, CRIC in Belgium, Ville de Paris in France), they not only correspond to the European cement Standard EN 197-1 and have the CE-mark, but most of them also have got other national quality labels, like the BENOR- or the NF-label.
In its quality policy, Cimalux tries to offer to their customers of cement and to the concrete users the best possible service by providing them the Cimaluxs know-how in cement and concrete. Furthermore the quality management team of the plants in Esch and Rumelange is completed by the services of the Construction Consulting Department, to achieve that mission at the best.
The concept of customer satisfaction, an important concept of ISO 9001:2000, has a high significance in the relationship between production, sales department and customers.
